Overview
The Graduate School of Telecommunications and Information Technology (GSTIT) is sponsored by the Ethiopian Telecommunication Corporation (ETC). GSTIT offers three postgraduate programs, namely, Telecom Engineering, Information Technology and Telecom Management. GSTIT is intended to fill the gap for high level professionals demanded in the ICT sector in Ethiopia in particular and Eastern Africa in general. The graduates are expected to competently plan, organize, design, develop, operate, maintain and manage ICT infrastructure and ICT- based services. GSTIT provides forums for sharing knowledge and exchange of information on new technologies and management tools and practices. The graduate programs conduct technology and environment scanning and carry out other forms of research that support management & service delivery so as to introduce improvements in these areas. Vision, to be a center of Training in Information and Communication Technology and Telecom Management in Ethiopia and in East/Horn of Africa; To be a center for advancement of ICT, through research, innovation, transfer, adoption, diffusion, adaptation, integration and dissemination in Ethiopia in particular and in East/Horn of Africa in general. Mission, to give the highest specialized instructions and to develop the fullest facility for the most advanced training and research in Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, and in Telecommunications Management.
