Abyssinian Flight Services Plc. is a private air charter company providing variety of air services in Ethiopia. We started operation in 1999 with one lease-purchased Cessna Caravan which we extensively used for humanitarian services in response to the 1999-2000 drought. Our humble beginning which is founded in safety, reliability and integrity has enabled us to make a steady growth over the past 18 years as we have increased our fleet of aircraft from one Cessna Caravan,to 6 factory new Cessna Caravan/Grand Caravans, 6 Thielert engine Cessna 172 aircraft, 2 Diamond DA40TDI and 2 Diamond DA42NG Twin engine aircraft. The six Cessna 172s and the four Diamond aircraft are dedicated for our pilot training school, but occasionally used for ad hoc charter flights.
We take pride in that we deliver safe, reliable and affordable air service to our clients even as we strive to improve all aspects of our services all the time. We are the first private air service providers in Ethiopia and also to establish the first private pilot training school having established the school in 2006, the school now upgraded into an aviation academy by incorporating other aviation training as well .
Currently we are licensed to offer Private Pilot, Commercial Pilot License, Instrument Rating, Multi-Engine Rating and Instructor Ratings.
