Overview

Dawn of Hope Ethiopia National Association is the pioneer association initiated and established by HIV positive peoples in June, 1991. It was founded by eleven HIV positive Ethiopians, who dared to face the challenges of the stiff stigma and discrimination that was prevalent in the 1990s by breaking the silence; with the slogan AIDS shall be stopped; let the generations be saved.

Major achievements of DHEA the year 2010 are 22,218community members attended on awareness creation, 23810 Community members address on ART adherence education, 1640 PLHA and 3349 OVC received nutritional support through WFP, 20 OVC and 296 PLHA supported seed money to purchase their own food items, 760 PLHA received blanket and linen, 1070 OVC supported.
