Overview
Arat Kilo Child Care and Community Development (AKCCCD) is one of the longest established, Ethiopian non-governmental organization (NGO) working in several communities with in Addis Ababa and Oromiya regions. Found in 1978, AKCCCD has been continually assisting impoverished children and mothers in the Arat Kilo and Chancho areas by providing them with a basic needs and access to economic and educational opportunities for a better life. Arat Kilo Child Care and Community Development (AKCCCD) is an indigenous, non-governmental organization, registered with Government of Ethiopia. We work with communities to bring about change, encouraging the active participation and contribution of children.
AKCCCD Vision is to create strong health and sustainable communities where the care and protection of impoverished women and children are promoted.
Mission, to promote, care and protect impoverished women and children. Improve their living standards by providing them with access to health, education and business skills, and increase the participation of HIV + women in economic activities, minimizing stigma and discrimination.
