Overview
Millions of children around the world are being denied the education that would give them a fair start in life. VSO builds programmes that support educators, governments and communities to improve access to better quality learning. Last year we worked with 140 partners in 16 countries. Together we trained 78,000 educators and reached 922,000 children and adults. All around the world, thousands of children are excluded from education because of their gender, disability or background. We work with communities, schools and governments to make sure education is for everyone. Examples of VSO projects making a real difference in the lives of marginalized children include: Improving learning for vulnerable girls in Nepal, Getting children with disabilities back to school in Ghana.
