The Central Statistical Agency is the statistical arm of the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Since its establishment in 1960 it has been and is involved in socio-economic and demographic data collection, processing, evaluation and dissemination that is used for the country’s socio-economic development and planning, monitoring and policy formulation. This main function of the Agency is performed through running National Integrated Household and Enterprise Survey Program (NIHESP), undertaking ad-hoc surveys, conducting census, and compilation of secondary data from administrative records.CSA is Responsible for the statistical result of different sectors. CSA administer, conduct, supervise and produce almost all survey and census report in Ethiopia.
